About the Founder

People often ask where the name "Camptown Systems" comes from. It actually traces back to my old gamertag, DeCamptown_Ladies. Whenever I played online, my friends just shortened it to "Camptown," and the name stuck. Video games are what originally sparked my passion for computers and technology, setting me on a career path I never could have imagined.

My career in electronics began in aerospace, working on NASA's Artemis program. In the instrumentation department, I installed electronics on rockets, handling everything from strain gauges to rigorous wire harness testing. I was fortunate enough to work directly on the test articles, Artemis I, and Artemis II. When you work on rockets, there is zero room for error, and that experience hardwired me to value absolute precision and reliability in everything I build.

Eventually, I wanted to bring those skills closer to home. I transitioned into the education sector, working as an electronics technician for our local school board. There, I managed the critical infrastructure that keeps our students safe and our facilities running smoothly. My day-to-day involved installing and maintaining security cameras, fire and burglar alarms, access control, networking, and the audio/video systems for our schools and stadiums.

Today, my day job is working as a Cybersecurity Specialist, but I founded Camptown Systems because I love hands-on technology and helping my neighbors. When you hire me to upgrade your home’s security, Wi-Fi, or smart lighting, you aren't just getting a standard installation. You're getting the same level of meticulous care, technical expertise, and security-first mindset that I brought to rocket launches and our local schools.
